1. Watson – Sherlock Holmes books

2. Smeagol- Lord of the Rings by J.R.R Tolkien

3. Legolas- Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien (of course, this could be inspired by his awesome archery skills in the movie! )

4. Colonel Brandon- Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen

5.  Piggy- Lord of the Flies by William Golding

6.  Boo Radley- To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee

7. Tom Sawyer  –  The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain

8. Uncas – The Last of the Mohicans (also may have been inspired by the movie!)

  1. I love you list..Watson heck yes he needs more cred, and Boo, and ?Tom and Brandon..*nods head*

  2. Colonel Brandon is my favorite Jane Austen character and Sense and Sensibility is my favorite of her books. As a film critic, my favorite film version is the one with Alan Rickman. I wrote a review of that film version of Sense and Sensibility compared to a Sense and Sensibility modernization film called From Prada to Nada soon after I read the book. If you haven’t seen the modernization film you should. It’s interesting what the filmmakers thought would happen if this story happened in our time.
